With the proper care and maintenance, your Ford Fiesta will last you for many years. Here's what you need to know to keep up with your car's required maintenance.

 Every 5,000 miles:

Have your Fiesta serviced every 5,000 miles to ensure everything is working as it should. At the very least, you'll need your oil and oil filter changed. Have your mechanic conduct a thorough inspection of other components during the oil change, including:
  • Tires

  • Lighting

  • Brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums and hoses

  • Fluid levels

  • Cooling system and hoses

  • Power steering system

  • Suspension

The 5,000-mile service is a good time to rotate your tires as well to prevent excessive wear on one side. Finally, your mechanic should alert you to any safety recalls so that you can address any issues.

All 15,000 mile service items, plus:

A 15,000-mile service should include all of the steps from the 5,000-mile service. It should also include the inspection of:
  • Drive axle boots

  • Brake and differential fluid levels

  • Exhaust system and heat shields

  • Windshield wipers

Depending on how frequently you use your windshield wipers, you may need to replace the blades at this point. Change the air filters during this service also. Have your mechanic top up any fluids that are getting low as well.

All 30,000 service items, plus:

  • At 30,000 miles, repeat all of the above services.

  • Have your mechanic inspect your fuel lines and filter, ignition wires and transmission.

  • If your Fiesta is equipped with heated seats, change their filters at this time.

Each Ford vehicle requires custom service and maintenance based on model, trim, engine and service duty. The above checklist is a standard recommended list and other services may be performed.
