The Ford F-Series Superduty will work hard for you for many years if you take care of it properly. Follow this guide to stay on top of your regularly scheduled maintenance to keep your truck in the best shape possible.
 
 Every 5,000 miles:

Every 5,000 miles, it is a good idea to bring your truck in for a tune-up. This service should include all of the following tasks:

  • Checking for open recalls for your model year

  • Changing the engine oil and filter

  • Rotating tires and adjusting their psi

  • Checking all light bulbs, replacing as needed

  • Inspecting brakes, including pads, shoes, drums, rotors, and hoses

  • Inspecting parking brake

  • Topping off any fluids that are low

  • Inspecting engine cooling system

  • Inspecting steering and suspension

 
All 15,000 mile service items, plus:

Every 15,000 miles, you should repeat the above tasks, as 15,000 is a multiple of 5,000. Your technician should also:

  • Inspect drive axle boots

  • Check differential

  • Inspect exhaust system

  • Replace air filters in engine and cabin

  • Inspect wipers, replacing blades as needed



 All 30,000 service items, plus:

  • Inspecting the fuel lines and replacing the filter

  • Inspecting the ignition system

  • Inspecting the transmission
