When it comes to keeping your Ford Expedition in the best possible shape, you've got a lot of general maintenance tasks to keep track of. Follow our handy guide so that you know exactly what to do at each interval.
 
 Every 5,000 miles:

At the very least, you'll need an oil and oil filter change every 5,000 miles. While your vehicle is in the shop, have your technician check the following:

  • Open recalls for your model, trim level and year

  • Tire pressure and wear, adjusting or rotating as needed

  • Fluid levels, topping up when necessary

  • Brake system

  • Interior and exterior lights

  • Coolant system

  • Steering system

  • Suspension

 
All 15,000 mile service items, plus:


When your Expedition reaches 15,000 miles, you'll need to inspect:

  • Drive axle boots

  • Transfer case and differential

  • Exhaust system

  • Windshield wipers, replacing blades if needed

Your mechanic should also change your air filters in both the engine and cabin, on top of completing all of the tasks for the 5,000-mile service

 
All 30,000 service items, plus:

  • Ignition system

  • Transmission

  • Fuel lines

You'll also need to replace the fuel filter at this interval. If your Expedition is one of the models with climate-controlled seats, you may need to change the seat cushion filters as well.
