Your Ford C-Max should have regular maintenance every 5,000, 15,000, and 30,000 miles. Service for each mileage level accumulated varies according to the condition of your vehicle.
 
 Every 5,000 miles:

  • Engine and oil filter replacement

  • Coolant top up and flushing

  • Checking of tire condition (including treading) and tire rotation

  • Inspection of brake pads, rotors, shoes, and drums

  • Topping up of all engine fluid levels (engine oil, coolant, steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid)

  • Inflation/deflation of all tires to 32 psi

  • Engine cooling system inspection (including radiator, hoses, clamps, and overflow reserve)

  • Steering wheel inspection (including suspension, ball joints, and driveshaft)

  • Vehicle road test


 
All 15,000 mile service items, plus:

  • All services at 5,000 miles, plus the following:

  • Rotation and inspection of tires (checking wheel end play and monitoring turning noise)

  • Engine and motor inspection (checking for leaking fluids, overheating, rusting)

  • Inspection of the exhaust system and heat shields

  • Inspection of brake pads, rotors, shoes, and drums

  • Parking brake inspection

  • Checking and topping off all fluid levels

  • Changing engine oil and replacing the oil filter (to be done every 24 months or every 20,000 miles)

  • Inspection and lubrication of steering mechanism

  • Inspection of drive axle boots

  • Cooling system checkup (radiator, hoses, clamps)

  • Exhaust system inspection

  • Replacing air filter

  • Inspecting wiper blades



 All 30,000 service items, plus:

  • All services at 5,000 and 15,000 miles, plus the following:

  • Engine air filter and fuel filter replacement

  • Rotation and inspection of tires

  • Checking of wheel turning noise and end play

  • Automatic transmission inspection

  • Filling up all engine fluids
